- Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announces Canada’s COVID-19 Economic Response Plan: Support for Canadians and Businesses
- Canada suspends federal student loan payments during COVID-19 crisis. Students will be automatically enrolled into the six-month loan holiday program.
- Canadian borders ban foreign nationals from all countries except the United States from entering Canada. International passenger flight arrivals are to be redirected to 4 airports: Calgary International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Toronto-Pearson International Airport, and Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport.

- All travellers entering Canada are being asked to self-isolate for 14 days upon entry with exceptions for workers who are essential to the movement of goods and people. Individuals should avoid contact with other people for 14 days, while monitoring themselves closely for symptoms.
