Altis is a recruitment and staffing firm that connects professionals with organizations across Canada.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information collected by us in connection with:

- Job applicants and candidates (including engaged, prospective, and former candidates)
- Employees, associates, contractors, and consultants working through Altis

Candidates Placed with Clients
If you are a candidate placed with a client, your working relationship may take different forms.
For example, you may:
- Be employed directly by Altis for a fixed term
- Be employed directly by a client
- Work as an independent contractor, contracting with either Altis or a client
In all of these cases, this Privacy Policy applies to how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
However, if you are placed with a client, that client may have its own privacy policies that also apply to you. We encourage you to review those policies where applicable.
What Is Personal Information?
When we refer to “personal information,” we mean information that identifies you as an individual. This may include things like your name, contact details, resume, employment history, financial information, or other details connected to you.
It does not include your professional contact information — such as your job title or business email — when we use it only to communicate with you in your work capacity.

Collected during interviews or candidate assessments conducted through video conferencing or recruitment platforms. Individuals are informed in advance if a session will be recorded and may decline participation in a recorded format.
To support recruitment and evaluation processes, allow recruiters and hiring managers to review candidate responses, and facilitate fair and consistent hiring decisions. Recordings are retained only as long as necessary to support recruitment decisions and are securely deleted or anonymized when no longer required.
Financial and Payroll Information
Bank account details, payroll information, tax identifiers

These technologies support — but do not replace — human decision-making in recruitment and placement decisions. Our Responsibility for Your Information
Altis is responsible for all personal information we collect and manage.
We take the protection of personal information seriously and implement a combination of technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect it from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or loss. These measures include encryption, secure systems, role-based access controls, confidentiality obligations for employees and service providers, staff training, and secure destruction practices.
If a confidentiality incident occurs that presents a risk of serious harm, we will notify affected individuals and the appropriate privacy regulator as required by law.
As part of our privacy program, we also conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) when introducing new systems, technologies, or processes that involve personal information, or when making significant changes to existing ones. These assessments help us identify and mitigate privacy risks before implementation.
To support accountability and transparency, we maintain records related to our privacy practices, including documentation of personal information holdings, completed PIAs, and confidentiality incidents. These records help us monitor compliance and continuously improve our privacy program.
