Last week we experienced what all employers are fearful of right now. We had a candidate who was working on-site at a client office call to say she tested positive for COVID-19. We took her word for it only to find out days later that her test results had in fact come back negative. She did NOT have COVID-19.
We learned a lot from this situation and spoke to our employment lawyer to seek answers: What is an employer’s legal right to request confirmation of diagnosis?
