Before moving to the UK, she started making audiences laugh on the Ireland comedy scene, and now she’s bringing her hit stand-up show to Canada!
- Adam Sandler | October 12 | Rogers Arena - If you’re a fan of 50 First Dates, Click, The Wedding Singer or any other classic Sandler film, you won’t want to miss seeing this comedy and film legend bring his unique brand of humour and song to the stage once again.
- Randy Feltface | October 28 | The Pearl – If you need a good laugh, don’t miss Randy Feltface’s stand-up show. He’s kept crowds laughing at solo stand-up comedy shows, during his three comedy specials and at sold-out seasons in London and New York. A favourite of Canadian comedy enthusiasts, Randy Feltface has been invited to perform at the Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal on four separate occasions.
- Phoebe Robinson: Messy AF Tour | November 5 | Vogue Theatre – Laugh the night away at this special performance from comedian, co-creator and co-star of the hit podcast-turned-HBO-series 2 Dope Queens, and New York Times bestselling author of You Can’t Touch My Hair: And Other Things I Still Have to Explain and Everything’s Trash, But It’s Okay.
- Just for Laughs Comedy Tour | November 25 | Queen Elizabeth Theatre Vancouver - You’re guaranteed to have a good old-fashioned Canadian chuckle with host Roy Wood Jr. (The Daily Show) and an incredible line-up of hilarious comedians including Lebanese Canadian comedian Malik Elassal, Critics Choice Award nominee Joyelle Nicole Johnson and Just for Laughs Festival favourite Arthur Simeon.

- Brent Butt in conversation with Charlie Demers | October 3 | Hollywood Theatre – This special event blends humour and horror for a spine-tingling, side-splitting thrill. Settle into your seat for a special set of Butt’s uproarious stand-up comedy before he joins local thriller author and Juno-nominated comedian, Charlie Demers. Together, they’ll discuss Demers’s process of writing his first novel, followed by a Q&A session with the audience.
- Vancouver Writers Fest 2023 | October 16-22 | Multiple Locations – Don’t miss the 35th edition of this classic fall event, which brings together book lovers from across the province. Revel in the words of 125+ acclaimed authors, including Naomi Klein, Cherie Dimaline, Esi Edugyan, Michael Crummey, Kai Thomas, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Celeste Ng and many more.
- Canadian Dream Team: Rick Mercer & Jann Arden | November 18 | The Chan Centre - For years, viewers across the country tuned into The Rick Mercer Report to spend their evenings with Rick and Jann Arden, one of his favourite recurring guests. Relive the laughter, antics and camaraderie at this Vancouver Writers Fest special event. Tickets include a copy of both The Road Years AND The Bittlemores!

- Laura Rosengren and Michal Tkachenko: Cloistered | Until October 28 | Seymour Art Gallery – Stop by the Seymour Art Gallery, a non-profit public gallery in the heart of Deep Cove, North Vancouver, for this special exhibit of art from two local artists. Laura Rosengren’s work references motherhood, labour and the accumulated marks of childhood. Michal Tkachenko’s work considers how places of dwelling have been transformed by the COVID-19 pandemic, both in terms of physical space and in how we think about home.
- Bright Futures | Until January 14, 2024 | Bill Reid Gallery – Head over to the Bill Reid Gallery for this special exhibit, which brings together the innovative art of Bill Reid with new works by contemporary emerging and established Indigenous artists of the Northwest Coast.
- Denyse Thomasos: Just Beyond | November 10, 2023-March 24, 2024 | Vancouver Art Gallery – Discover the indelible, yet frequently overlooked, mark that Trinidadian-Canadian artist Denyse Thomasos made on contemporary painting. This career retrospective brings together more than 70 paintings and works on paper, many rarely seen, to show how she challenged the limits of abstraction, infusing personal and political content onto her canvases through the innovative use of formalist techniques.

- Pumpkin Patch | Opens September 30 | Richmond Country Farms – Has fall really started without a visit to your local farm? Take a selfie in front of harvest decorations like cornstalks and sunflowers, find the perfect pumpkin for your jack-o-lantern, visit the farm animals and for the adults—Country Vines Winery is located at the east end of the parking lot.
- Bear Creek Lights | November 3-17 – See nature shine with a series of beautiful light displays that will dazzle your senses with illuminated natural landscapes, whimsically lit creatures and stunning photo opportunities.
- Take in the fall foliage at Norvan Falls – Embrace the crisp fall weather on a hike through the vibrant golden- and red-hued trees in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park on your way to Norvan Falls. This 14-kilometre trail is lovely any time of year, but the trees put on a spectacular display of colours for autumn hikers.
- Lost Souls of Gastown Walking Tour | Multiple Dates – If you’re looking for maximum spookiness this fall, take a lamplight walking tour into Vancouver’s earliest and most gruesome history. In this unique performance-theatre experience, you’ll step inside a world of murder, revenge, and true grit in a dramatic retelling of Victorian Gastown’s earliest stories.
