The cherry trees in High Park burst into blossoms and the longer days bring more opportunities to get out and reconnect. After a long winter, we’re itching to “Bring on Spring” with events and activities that celebrate the best of the season.

Step outside and embrace the sunshine with this curated list of spring events in the GTA.

Beaches Easter Parade Weekend. April 7 & 9. Bring your Easter spirit to the beach where you can enjoy a parade on Queen St E. and participate in an Easter Egg Hunt! Follow along on an interactive scavenger hunt through the neighbourhood as you help save the Easter Bunny’s eggs.

Toronto Blue Jays Home Opener. April 11. Take yourself out to the ball game and welcome the Blue Jays back for the 2023 season! Watch your favourite players hit it out of the park while enjoying new food offerings and vantage points at the brand-new Outfield District in the Rogers Centre.

Star Wars Day. May 4. For the first time since 2019, Star Wars Day Toronto will return to The Rec Room. Don’t miss out on the celebrity guests, big prizes, costume contest, trivia game show, a costume showcase for the kids, and late night 19+ dance party. May the fourth be with those who stop by!

Paint Nite: The 6 at Amsterdam Brewery. May 4. Let your favourite city inspire you with this “in the Six” themed paint night. Head over to the Amsterdam Brewery in East York for a chill night of drinks and painting! Can’t make it? Check out the Paint Nite website for a list of events.

Canada’s Wonderland Opening Weekend. May 5. Join in the fun as Canada’s Wonderland kicks off their 2023 season. Get ready for a season of big thrills, world-class attractions and new rides at Canada’s premier amusement park.

Mother's Day Emporium. May 6. Find a special gift for the moms in your life while supporting local artists & small businesses. There will be several giveaways and grand prizes for lucky attendees. Celebrate your mom, soon-to-be moms, or any mother figure that you admire!

Blink-182 World Tour. May 11 & 15. Get your tickets now for this throwback concert where you can have a great time with friends and family listening to Blink-182’s smash hits from the last 30 years. With Tom Delonge back after nearly a decade, fans will be excited to see the original trio in action at the Scotiabank Arena.

Fiesta de Mayo. May 26–28. Fiesta de Mayo is a vibrant and exciting event that brings together the beauty and diversity of many cultures to celebrate the arrival of spring. The street will come alive with the beating of tribal drums, colourful street dancing, and a wide variety of delicious food and drinks from vendors!

Party 4 Paws Spring Pet Fair. May 27. A family-friendly, and fully accessible event where you can start your animal adoption journey, support local businesses by shopping for your pets, and meet celebrity pets. Admission is free, and all donations go towards helping animals in need.

Lakeshore Village Grilled Cheese Challenge Festival. June 10. Challengers will be offering up their take on "The Best Grilled Cheese" and competing for the top three best grilled cheese sandwiches! Come for the grilled cheese and stay for the live music, entertainment, specialty drinks, beer garden and shopping.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Until July. It's time to rediscover the wizarding world with Harry Potter and the Cursed Child–the award-winning stage play that continues the beloved story of the Boy Who Lived. From the moment you arrive, you’ll get to experience the wizarding world like never before in a theatre that’s been transformed, with hidden surprises to discover at every turn.
