Giving Back Impacts All of Us

When we all win, we all win. At Altis, we work to reduce systemic barriers to employment faced by many marginalized groups in our society, so everyone has equal opportunity to succeed. Beyond our day-to-day work, we also give back to our community by supporting a range of charities that are near and dear to us, organizations that help raise the tides for all.

  • Prostate Cancer Awareness

    During hockey season, we organize Toni’s Hockey Pool, in memory of our late Co-Founder Toni Guimaraes. To date, we’ve raised over $145,000 in support of Advanced Prostate Cancer research.

    Every summer, we fund two cabins at Christie Lakes Kids’ camp so that twelve children can develop the skills and confidence that only camp can provide. This is a tradition close to our founders’ hearts.

  • CAMH and The Royal

    Mental health is very important to Altis Recruitment, and it means a lot to us that we can support Ontario’s two primary mental health emergency room and research clinics.

  • Altis Recruitment’s Newcomer Program

    In 2020, we brought back our Newcomer Program to help new Canadians get the experience they need to enter the workforce.To date, 90% of our program members have secured additional work.

  • Aboriginal Services Program

    CAMH’s clinical services for Aboriginal people include traditional rituals, songs, and dances. We’ve donated the materials and resources needed to craft hand drums and smudging kits, purchase plants, and host pow wow events.

  • YMCA Greater Vancouver

    At our Vancouver office, we can see the YMCA’s impact first-hand. They provide necessary services and support some of those affected by Canada’s biggest economic disparities. To show our appreciation, we’re proud donors to the Greater Vancouver branch.
