"The one thought in my head was to save my parents."

As originally described on our blog, our team member Maryna Skobal recently flew to Poland to help her parents flee Ukraine and travel safely to Canada. Watch this video from CTV Ottawa to learn more about the harrowing journey to reunite with her family.

As our CEO and co-founder Kathryn Tremblay explains, Maryna’s experience prompted our team to think of meaningful ways to support Ukrainian newcomers to Canada, especially those looking for work.

So far, our team has put together a series of helpful resources, including tips on formatting a resume for the Canadian job market, using popular job search sites, preparing for interviews – and many more to come.

COMING SOON! For help finding work in Canada, we invite Ukrainian newcomers to join us at a FREE series of job-search webinars, offered partly in Ukrainian, covering everything from building a LinkedIn profile to interview best practices. If you’re interested in attending, email us at careersUA@altisrecruitment.comWe’ll send you an invite when we launch the series.
